My Secret for Effortless Email and Blog Ideas

Starting next week, you may notice a few changes in these emails. I’ve been juggling part-time-farmer.com and homegrownhosting.com, and they’ve gotten a bit tangled over time. So, I’m moving everything over to one server to make things simpler and smoother on my end—and hopefully, better for you too!

You’ll still be getting emails from me, Jason (aka The Part-Time Farmer), but you’ll see a different email address (homegrownhosting.com). I’ve moved all the valuable items including YouTube videos, free resources, and more to https://homegrownhosting.com/the-part-time-farmer/.

I’m aiming for everything to be up and running next weekend without a hitch. But, just in case there are any bumps, thanks for bearing with me. We’ll get it right.

Today’s Tip: A Simple Trick to Never Run Out of Email Ideas

Sometimes, coming up with fresh ideas for emails or blog posts can feel like an uphill battle—especially when farm life is in full swing. Here’s a quick and easy trick that’s helped me build a library of ideas and inspiration to keep things flowing.

Create a Dedicated Marketing Email

Start by setting up a new, separate email. It could be on Gmail, Hotmail, or whichever platform you prefer. Name it something like marketingemails@gmail.com or otherfarms@gmail.com. Anything to make it easy to remember.

Subscribe and Save Every Email

Use this new account to subscribe to newsletters / websites from local farms and other farms you admire. And here’s the key: save every email you receive from them!

These saved emails will build up over time, creating a valuable resource of ideas you can pull from whenever you need inspiration.

Organize Topics by Folder or Use Search

You can organize them into folders by topic or farm—or simply keep them all in one place. Most email platforms have a search feature, so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for later.

For extra organization, try setting up folders like Holiday Promotions, Farm Tips, or Seasonal Sales. You can also search by keywords like “Thanksgiving” or “Spring Sales” whenever you need fresh ideas for those times of year.

This way, you’ll have quick access to emails with relevant ideas.

Use AI for Summaries and Idea Generation

If you’re short on time, you can even copy parts of these emails into ChatGPT or another AI tool to summarize the main points. This will help you get a quick overview of what others are sharing.

Just remember, the goal isn’t to copy but to use these as inspiration and a framework to craft your own unique message for your customers.

Why This Works

Seeing what other successful farms are sharing helps you spot effective marketing trends. Modeling your emails and blogs after these ideas (in your own words!) can help you reach your customers better.

These farms are likely going after the same customers as you, so seeing what they’re writing about gives you insight into what your customers want.

You’ll have ready-to-go ideas whenever you sit down to write, saving you time and energy.

Writing and sharing what makes your farm special is one of the best ways to connect with your customers. It’s work and takes time, but make the time! Give this tip a try, and I hope it gets you more of your time back and lets the ideas roll in.

Happy farming!

with my appreciation,

Jason
